Dear Mr. Burke:

This office acknowledges the receipt of a Semi-annual Monitoring Report dated March 22, 2023 for the
referenced site. Your cooperation is appreciated. The report has been reviewed and maintained in the
Guilford County Health Department in Greensboro.

We also received a separate report for RW-1 through RW-4 sampling on March 23, 2023. The review of
the report indicates that benzene and MTBE were detected in RW-4 at concentrations exceeding their
respective 2L standards but below their GCLs. The petroleum hydrocarbons detected in RW-4 were
associated with Incident #12960 which was closed September 27, 2021. Therefore, we approve your
request for abandoning RW-1 through RW-4.
