Ferebee Farming, Inc. 217 Lambs Road Camden, North Carolina 27921 Re: Notice of No Further Action 15A NCAC 2L .0407(d) Risk-based Assessment and Corrective Action for Petroleum Underground Storage Tanks John E. Ferebee Farming (6,000 Gallon Gasoline UST Removed) 350 Scotland Rd., Camden Camden County Incident Number: 47926 Risk Classification: Low Ranking: L15R Dear Ms. Ferebee: A file review for the above referenced incident has been conducted based on a recent status request submitted to the Washington Regional Office, Division of Waste Management, Underground Storage Tank (UST) Section. Based on review of the file, it appears that an Underground Storage Tank Closure Report was submitted in October of 2016. The report documents closure activities associated with the removal of the former 6000 gallon gasoline UST. Review indicates that after tank closure, soil contamination did not exceed State standards for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) for both Gasoline Range Organics (GRO) and Diesel Range Organics (DRO). Groundwater was not encountered during tank removal and soil was below action levels, therefore a groundwater sample was not collected. The UST Section determines that no further action is warranted for this incident based on results of the soil samples collected. This determination shall apply unless the UST Section later finds that the discharge or release poses an unacceptable risk or a potentially unacceptable risk to human health or the environment. Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 2L .0407(a) you have a continuing obligation to notify the Department of any changes that might affect the risk or land use classifications that have been assigned. This No Further Action determination applies only to the subject incident; for any other incidents at the subject site, the responsible party must continue to address contamination as required.
