A review of the Transfer Station Cost Estimate for 7202T-TRANSFER-1995 Perquimans, Chowan and Gates County Landfill and
Transfer Station submitted on 11/4/2022 has been completed. The estimate meets the site -specific operations and appears to
be appropriate.
Initial Review Comments: 20221104 - The Section appreciates the submittal of the closure costs for Perquimans
Chowan and Gates County Landfill and Transfer Station facility. The electronic form is accepted and will be submitted to
the Section's Permitting Engineer for review. Thank you.

Permitting Engineer's Review Comments: 20230609 - Approving based on the assumption that the miscellaneous fee
(57,825) will cover pressure washing, signage, and administrative costs. Please include specific amounts for these in your
upcoming submittal. Thank you
The Division of Waste Management - Solid Waste Section has reviewed and approved the provided cost estimate
required for establishing financial assurance for a transfer station. The cost estimate is provided for your use.
Approved Cost Estimate = $ 289125.00
At this time, you may work with your Finance Department Director and have the approved cost estimate incorporated
into the December 2023 Local Government or Capital Reserve submittal to the Section. Financial Assurance mechanism
templates, NC Rules for financial assurance, and inflation multipliers are among the pertinent information you can find
