CERT responded to a diesel fuel release on 7/21/22 for the CBCS from reefer tank on I-85 WB in Kings Mountain
NC. Crew arrived onsite to find the affected area being approximately 2000ft x 8ft. Crew also found a light sheen in
the storm drain. Crew used pads to collect any diesel fuel in the affected storm drain. Crew then spread oil dry on
affected pavement. With approval from premium crew used a street sweeper to work oil dry into material. All oil dry
was collected and placed in 5-55 gallon poly drums. All waste was hauled off site for proper disposal.
