Environmental Services Division received this assignment from Rhonda Hyde, with US1 Logistics, on Monday, December 19, 2022. SITE REMEDIATION: Upon receipt of this assignment, we contacted Ecoflo Holding, Inc. DBA US Ecology (USE) to provide site remediation. Fire department personnel were already on scene at the time of the accident and immediately utilized absorbents to contain most of the spill to the roadway. A minimal volume of the spilled fuel flowed off the pavement and impacted the hardpacked gravel area between the roadway and exit ramp. USE personnel applied additional granular absorbents to the impacted pavement. Hand tools were utilized to work the absorbents into the pavement and recover the spent absorbents. A vacuum truck and hand tools were utilized to recover approximately 60 gallons of pooled fuel, spent absorbents, and fuel- impacted gravel and clay. Background and confirmation soil samples were collected for laboratory analysis. The laboratory results are attached and indicate that the site was cleaned to within acceptable standards. All cleanup-generated waste was placed into seven (7) 55-gallon drums and transported the waste for proper disposal. WASTE DISPOSAL: All cleanup-generated waste was transported to the Terranova Solutions facility, located in High Point, North Carolina, on Manifest Number P215-11455. The waste was received for disposal on December 19, 2022, by Barry Ward and Blake K. The disposal facility was chosen by USE and the disposal documentation is attached. ND - Not Detected at or above adjusted reporting limit. TNTC - Too Numerous To Count J - Estimated concentration above the adjusted method detection limit and below the adjusted reporting limit. MDL - Adjusted Method Detection Limit. PQL - Practical Quantitation Limit. RL - Reporting Limit - The lowest concentration value that meets project requirements for quantitative data with known precision and bias for a specific analyte in a specific matrix. S - Surrogate 1,2-Diphenylhydrazine decomposes to and cannot be separated from Azobenzene using Method 8270. The result for each analyte is a combined concentration. Consistent with EPA guidelines, unrounded data are displayed and have been used to calculate % recovery and RPD values. LCS(D) - Laboratory Control Sample (Duplicate) MS(D) - Matrix Spike (Duplicate) DUP - Sample Duplicate RPD - Relative Percent Difference NC - Not Calculable. SG - Silica Gel - Clean-Up U - Indicates the compound was analyzed for, but not detected. Acid preservation may not be appropriate for 2 Chloroethylvinyl ether. A separate vial preserved to a pH of 4-5 is recommended in SW846 Chapter 4 for the analysis of Acrolein and Acrylonitrile by EPAMethod 8260. N-Nitrosodiphenylamine decomposes and cannot be separated from Diphenylamine using Method 8270. The result reported for each analyte is a combined concentration.Reported results are not rounded until the final step prior to reporting. Therefore, calculated parameters that are typically reported as "Total" may vary slightly from the sum of the reported component parameters. Pace Analytical is TNI accredited. Contact your Pace PM for the current list of accredited analytes. TNI - The NELAC Institute. ANALYTE QUALIFIERS The sample and duplicate results for this parameter are less than 5 times the reporting limit, the RPD may not be statistically valid.D8 Matrix spike recovery exceeded QC limits.
