While parked, a valve in the valve box loosened and released approximately 10 gallons of hydraulic fluid. A few gallons entered a storm drain directly next to the truck. Four companies were called to assist with remediation, but none had staff available. Oil dry was placed over the spill and oil dry and absorbent pads were placed inside the catch basin. Booms and absorbent pads were also placed at the culvert 150’ downstream from the spill. Remediation will resume on November 6, 2020. Water samples will be taken and submitted for analysis.
