Dear Mr. Roberts:
The North Carolina Division of Waste Management has conducted site assessment activities at the referenced property. As part of the assessment, water samples have been collected from the water supply well at the site. Analytical tests conducted on the water
samples indicate that the well contains petroleum hydrocarbons at concentrations
exceeding the North Carolina water quality standards, and the water is not fit for consumption. According to information available to the Division, the well is not used for potable purposes. The well will be sampled within the next few weeks and the analytical results will be sent to you upon receipt.
