ECS Carolinas, LLP (ECS) is pleased to submit this Task Authorization Request to the North
Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) for environmental services for the
above referenced project. This proposal contains our project understanding, proposed scope of
services, fees/costs, and schedule of work
PROJECT UNDERSTANDING
The site is the former Bazemore Grocery site located in Republican, Bertie County, North
Carolina. ECS understands that a June 2015 ground penetrating radar (GPR) assessment
identified the presence of three anomalies indicative of petroleum underground storage tanks
(USTs) and one indicative of a septic tank.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
ECS was requested to submit a Task Authorization Request (TAR) to obtain bids for the
removal of the USTs.
