Risk-based Assessment and Corrective Action for Petroleum Underground Storage Tanks
General Electric UST #9. Incident Number: 5066
3010 Spartanburg Highway, East Flat Rock, Henderson County, NC
In December 1989, a release was reported at the subject site. This site is part of the larger General Electric property that is being actively remediated under an EPA Superfund Federal
Remediation Branch Corrective Action Plan, NCD079044426.
Based on this information, the UST Section finds it appropriate to classify the risk of the former discharge or release as low and that no further action is warranted for this incident as any remaining assessment or remedial actions will be handled under the approved EPA Superfund Federal Remediation Branch Corrective Action Plan. This determination shall apply unless the UST Section later determines that the discharge or release poses an unacceptable risk or a potentially unacceptable risk to human health or the environment.
