They conducted the receptor survey and there is a WSW that supplies two houses within 150 ft of the source area. The realtors and buyer were both very surprised. We were not able to over - excavate the soil contamination since were within — 2 feet of the building foundation. We will complete the report as discussed but its unfortunate we cannot proceed as discussed earlier. Thanks again for helping talk this through. Based on the UVF screening samples, we will not be able to over -excavate the contaminated soil closest to the building. The question was posed if we could use the UVF samples for the side walls and collect on confirmation sample in the base sample since we know they will not be able to remove all the contaminated soil. Just trying to save them money in sample costs. Please let me know if that would be ok. Also, you can call to discuss as well. Hi Dan, I don't think there is an incident assigned yet but CES did a phase II ESA and there was DRO/GRO exceedance in the soil sample at a heating oil tank. She was asking me how to handle the abandoned WSW well on site. We are quoting removing the heating oil tanks and excavating the contaminated soil. We will collected samples after the excavation is complete. The potential buyer is applying for an SBA loan so we need a NCDEQ NFA ultimately for the loan to happen. I told her that we could abandon the WSW well if needed but I wasn't sure since it has been out of use for more than a decade how it should be handled. I recommended reaching out to you to be sure. Hope this all makes sense!! r 3e4Lt011/ Vice President, Account Management Geological Resources, Inc. Good afternoon, I spoke with Tomie Benton about the possible need to fill the well on this property. We recently found out that there is contamination from a non -regulated UST tank and that the tank is less than 100 ft from the "out of use" greater than 15 year old abandoned well. Could you please help me to understand what the next steps are to assess if we will need to have it closed or if there is a record on file? The address is 15901 Cramur Drive Huntersville, NC. I appreciate your time, and Tomie, please feel free to jump in if I missed something here! Leah Parker, CBI, FOM Commercial RE Broker EXP Commercial LLC.
