OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
None.
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The facility is a Land Clearing and Inert Debris Landfill Notification site which is permitted to accept only land
clearing waste, inert debris, untreated wood and yard trash.
2. The LCID is owned by David Shelton and operated by Brian Shelton. A Yard Waste Notification site is also
located on the property and is operated by Chad Linville.
3. The site is secured by dense woods and fencing with site access controlled by an electronic locking gate.
4. Facility access roadways are of all-weather construction and were in good condition at the time of inspection.
5. A sign was posted at the facility entrance and contained the required information.
6. Open burning is prohibited on site.
7. The site is clean and well -maintained; no storm water runoff or erosion issues were observed.
8. Landfill side slopes had established partial vegetative cover.
9. No unacceptable waste was observed in the working face.
10. Mr. Shelton stated that soil cover is applied at least once a month or as needed. At the time of the inspection
11. The waste area appeared to be less than 2 acres in size based on observations on site.
12. Edge of waste markers were observed on site.
13. The facility appears to be maintaining adequate buffers as required.
