Box 2091 Raleigh, N.C. 27602-2091 Mr. Alan P. Magan CEC0S International 1800 Parkway Drive Hanover, MD 21076 Dear Mr. Magan: Ronald H. Levine, M.D., M.P.H. ST A TE HEAL TH DIRECTOR March 29, 1984 Enclosed is a copy of the Warren County PCB Environmental Impact Statement that includes the sites that were considered other than the selected site. I would like to reiterate that the screening procedures and evaluations from a geotechnical prospective would be of little use to CEC0S if the data is to be utilized for evaluating a potential location for a hazardous waste landfill. The maximum size of any site that was bored for geotechnical data was 3 acres and all sites were located on isolated relatively narrow ridge top topographical positions. The actual field boring data appears to be in the possession of one of several attorneys that are involved in litigation on cost re- covery for the PCB .project. I apo 1 ogi ze for not being ab 1 e to make this data available to you when you were here. If I can be of further assistance, please contact me. WLM:nlc -@2:J$ ~ William L.
