Wilson, PE North Carolina Department of Administration Division of State Construction 300 North Salisbury Street Raleigh, NC 27611 Subject: PCB Waste Disposal Site Warren County, NC Code 14900, Item 1111-1990 Change Order No. 9 Dear Mr. Wilson: The subject change order was prepared at the request of chQ Departme nt of Crime Control and Public Safety to provide the necessary installed equipment to meet the requirements of the permit issue<l by the Environmental Management Commission, copy of which is attache d , and the requirements of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This system was not included in the original construction •ntract as the leachate collection system was intended only for m·.::r. .~ring the landfill liner. This system ,,;ill ,:~ ~" t~ operated by personnel of the Department of Transportation until such time that the excess water has been removed. This will be done on a monthly basis and will probably still be continuing after the construction contract with Lineberger Paving and Grading has been completed.
