It is with sincere regret that we of WADE radio must inform you that
we can not "run" your public service announcement concerning the 'FIFTH
ANNUAL GOVER NOR'S AUN FOR FUN AND HEALTH~.we,too,are concerned with health
at wAu ~,And our entire county is well known for our belief in sports and
recreational activities,as evidenced by our success in the Little League
programs this year;however,at this time,our main c~ncern is For our future
generations.How can we support a health program sucb as the 'RUN FOR FUN ANO
HEALTH' with the threat of a hazardous waste landfill scheduled to begin con-
struction in our county next year.we of WADE radio will be asking our people
in Anson County to hold a boycott against this endeavo~.We will futher send
letters to all public T.V,stations in North Carolina and to Governor Hunt as
to our decision. ·
Our public service announcements asking our people not to attend,and
futher,to boycott the 'RUN FOR FUN AND HEALTH' will start monday,sept,27th.
