The state appreciates your concern about the Wa rren County PCB l andf i ll.
The decision to locate the landfill for the PCB-laden soil from 210 mile s of
North Carolina roadside was not made without lengthy del i berations.
I am enclosing a copy of the Environmental Impact Statement required by
the Environmental Protection Agency on this issue. It may provide some
perspective on the problem North Carolina faces i n dealing with the PCB's
along our highways.
