Dear Ms. Beverly:
Cedar Rock Environmental, P. C. (Cedar Rock) performed a site inspection on September 21, 2020
at the above referenced location. During the inspection the property owner, Mr. Tim Cool,
indicated to us that he suspected there might be an inactive water supply well somewhere on the
property, however, he had no direct knowledge of a well. He has owned the property since 1997.
We observed no well head or evidence of a well at the time of our inspection. Further, the
Mecklenburg County Health Department Well Information System 4.0 has no record of a well
located on this property. Mr. Cool has reportedly contacted three different well drillers who have
indicated they would not be able to locate an old well with no visible wellhead.
An NRP was filed with the Mecklenburg County Register of Deeds on October 23, 2020 with a
groundwater use restriction that restricts the use of groundwater as a water supply or operation of
any water supply wells on the property. With this restriction in place and no evidence of a supply
well on the property, we recommend the property be reclassified from "High Risk" to "Low Risk"
and that a Conditional Notice of No Further Action letter be issued.

was a well. The tank closure report didn't mention any receptor info for the required 150' survey.

Hi Trudy
I lost track of where we were with this site. As I think I recall, you were waiting for something from Bob to the effect
that there was never a well on the property. If so, did you receive something from him? He's out of the office at
present, but I don't see anything in our files.
