Fire department come, we unload part of the Garbage out of the trailer in parking lot and hose it down. Then cleaned up the Garbage with rakes, shovels and
Backhoe and loaded it back on Trailer
WHAT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE:
Someone had set a dumpester on fire at the Snowbird Convenient site. At pickup no smoke was visiable,we thought it was safe to dump but it caught back up after
,ve put it in the tractor trailer
DESCRIBE AREA, TYPE, AND AMOUNT OF WASTE INVOLVED:
Z5x25 Area, and around 8 ton of Garbage on the ground
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO PREVENT THIS FIRE:
-onvenient sites should be Staffed, and gated at night. I will recommend to Commissioners at Budget
DESCRIBE PLAN OF ACTIONS TO PREVENT FUTURE INCIDENTS:
If Convenient site cans are set on fire in the future, we will not dump for aleast 3 days then when we dump on Tipping floor we will wet it down and make sure it is
safe to load on tractor trailer. We will continue to request to staff convenient sites
