STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:
At time of inspection there was not a “NO TRESPASSING” sign located at either entrance to the tank. This is a violation of Rule .0838(k) that states “Access roads or paths crossing or leading to the facility shall be posted with “NO TRESPASSING” signs.” Picture of sign was sent 10-27-2022

General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

1 – Site needs “No Trespassing” sign. This violates Rule .0838(k). 2 – Tank is accessible for inspection 3 – Tank appears to be structurally sound 4 – Septage transfers appear to be done in a safe and sanitary manner 5 – No vector problems or objectionable odors noted 6 – Setbacks appear compliant 7 – Stored septage appears to be used in a timely manner 8 – If the septage tank is no longer going to be used, a Septage Detention tank closure form needs to be submitted to Chester Cobb
