On February 1, 2023, the Underground Storage Tank Section of the Division of Waste Management, Mooresville Regional Office, received the Groundwater Monitoring Report for the above-referenced site. This information has been
reviewed and will remain in the UST Section’s files. Upon review, the Division has determined that Speedway, LLC, must complete tank and line tightness testing for the UST systems located at the above-referenced site. These results must be received within 45 days of the date of this letter. In addition, Speedway, LLC must conduct a Mobile Multi-Phase Event utilizing monitoring wells MW-1R and MW-6 prior to the next groundwater sampling event, which must be conducted in July 2023. Please note that the MMPE must be completed at least two weeks prior to the groundwater sampling event, and no groundwater samples should be collected from any monitoring wells containing free product. The Groundwater Monitoring Report should include the MMPE data and must be received no later than August 31, 2023.
