The UST Section, Division of Waste Management, is in receipt of the Semi-annual Groundwater Monitoring Report dated July 8, 2020 for the subject site. The report has been reviewed and will be maintained in the
Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services. A review of the historical groundwater monitoring results indicates that benzene was detected the
groundwater sample from monitoring well MW-3R at a concentration exceeding its gross contaminant level (GCL) following the well’s installation. However, subsequent samples have not been collected from MW-3R since November 1999 due to damage or inaccessibility. Please repair or replace the damaged and/or inaccessible well to obtain current groundwater quality data in the vicinity of MW-3R.
