Box 50 Danbury, NC 27016 Re: Notice of Violation NCGS 143B-279.9 and 143B-279.11 Notice of Residual Petroleum Stokes County School Bus Garage 3160 NC Hwy 65 Germanton, Stokes County Incident Number: 37013 Risk Classification: Low Dear Mr. Goins: You did not remediate contamination at the subject site to below “unrestricted use standards”. Therefore, you were required by the North Carolina General Statute (NCGS) 143B-279.9 and 143B-279.11 to file a Notice of Residual Petroleum (Notice) with the Register of Deeds in Stokes County and then to submit a certified copy of the filed Notice to the Winston-Salem Regional Office. To date this regional office has not received a certified copy of the recorded Notice. Your failure to file or submit the Notice is a violation of North Carolina law and may result in the assessment of civil penalties and/or the use of other enforcement mechanisms available to the state. You must submit a certified copy of the recorded Notice to this office within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
