Box 668 Williamston, North Carolina, 27892 PARTICIPANTS: Ben Hardison, Landfill Supervisor John College, NCDEQ-DWM-SWS-FOB STATUS OF PERMIT: Inactive/Closed PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Comprehensive Facility Compliance Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 3 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 – This MSWLF inspection has been done along with 5901-CDLF for the past several years. No report has been generated and put into the database under this permit number since 8/24/2016. 02 – Facility has entrance signage, directional signage and locking gate and fences for security. 03 – The roads are maintained well. Construction consists of Pavement and gravel for the most part. 04 – Facility is in the process of installing new permanent edge of waste markers back up from mower incidents. Temporary markers are in place at this time. 05 – Landfill gas reports were reviewed but date not written down. 06 – Surface Water reports reviewed were dated 11/9/22 and 2/16/23. 07 – Groundwater report reviewed were dated 2/22/22. 08 – The landfill has a very good cover and is maintained. 09 – The side slopes appear to meet the 3:1 requirement. 10 – All monitoring wells were locked and had identification tag with information required.
