Reported by David Ryder July 29, 2022 by phone. This SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT FACILITY FIRE OCCURRENCE NOTIFICATION was filled out by Jeffrey Bullard based on details from phone conversation and attached email from David Ryder.
Extinguished the fire with heavy equipment by pushing the mulch to a safe designated area to smolder out and to prevent spreading of fire fire dept was called and
on standby if needed we extinguished the fire in a few hours heavy smoke for several hours. Water was applied to hot spots.
Spontaneous combustion resulting from build of of heat within compressed overs material mixed with green mulch.
Area adjacent to composting operation to the west where overs are stored. Aproximatedly 200 yards of material involved.
Reducing the size of piles, Stricter management of material stockpiles preventing the commingling of green mulch and overs material.

roads to piles to allow access and faster response time to piles in case of fires.

Reporting a mulch fire on earthfarms property at the lower end of the screening pad on 7/23/2022 I David
ryder operation superviser received a call from a pump truck driver we had a fire in the mulch around 1130 am I arrived
on site around 12pm with 3 other employees and started extinguishing the fire with heavy equipment by pushing the
mulch to a safe designated are to smolder out and to prevent spreading of fire fire dept was called and on stand by if
needed we extinguished the fire in a few hours heavy smoke for several hours
