Dear Mr. Rogers:
Waters Edge Environmental, LLC (Waters Edge) is pleased to submit this report summarizing the
quarterly influent/effluent sampling event conducted on January 18, 2017 at the Highland/Takata
facility located in Kernersville, North Carolina. The influent and effluent were grab sampled as
specified in the NCDEQ; Division of Water Quality permit number WQ0006751. The influent
detected 47,400 ug/L total VOCs with the only constituents being toluene. The effluent detected
380 ug/L toluene for a removal efficiency of 99.19% and the effluent is below the North Carolina
Groundwater Standard for toluene at 600 ug/L. We have included Form GW-59 in Appendix A
and documentation in Appendix B. These forms have also been submitted to the NCDEQ Central
Files located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this report, please contact Phillip L. Rahn at
