Water puddled at the bottom. Tree fallen down next to hole, odor in the air. Catlin removed 17 tons on top of the about 3 foot hole RP originally dug. Homeowner was there and very concerned. Traffic was very fast and busy in front of house. About 17 tons and 7 feet was dug up and removed, clay/sand at bottom. Soil was wet and groundwater was pooling at the bottom with the initial hole and the new hole. Met homeowner, RP, and consultant. Discussed the removal of soil and putting in a well Dec 22nd. Consultant is worried we will find high levels of diesel in the GW since we hit GW.
