(GRI) presents this information to complete the scope of work that was requested in the Notice of Violation dated January 4, 2019, by NCDEQ for the above referenced site (Figure 1). Please find enclosed the applicable site location map, site map and laboratory report for the above referenced site. Please note, ongoing assessment activities are being conducted at the site in relation to a past release. The past release, Red Apple Market #1, was issued UST Incident Number 11941. A ground water sample were collected from monitoring well MW-3 in lieu of soil samples due to the presence of pea gravel in the UST basin on January 31, 2019. The collected ground water sample was submitted for laboratory analyses of volatile organic compounds using EPA Method 6200B. Concentrations of requested method constituents that exceeded the Maximum Allowable Concentrations specified in T15A NCAC 2L.0202 were reported in the ground water sample collected from MW-3. The reported contaminant concentrations were consistent with past sampling results for MW-3 and did not indicate the presence of a new release at the site. Please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned at (704) 845-4010 if you have any questions or require additional information.
