(GRI) presents the results of the ground water sampling activities at the Red Apple Mart #15 site in Plymouth, North Carolina. The activities were conducted in response to the September 2020 email conversation and the September 25, 2020 correspondence from the NCDEQ. On October 14, monitoring wells MW-4, MW-13 and MW-14 were gauged, purged and sampled. Depth to water in the monitoring wells were 10.15, 11.39, and 11.23 feet below the top of casing in MW-4, MW-13 and MW-14, respectively. Ground water samples were submitted for analyses of VOCs plus oxygenates by EPA Method 6200B. A Site Location Map and Site Map have been included as Figures 1 and 2. Please see the attached laboratory report for the results of the October 2020 ground water sampling event. The Maximum Allowable Concentrations specified in T15A NCAC 2L.0202 were below the concentrations of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, naphthalene, tert-Amyl alcohol, tert-Butyl alcohol, methyl chloride, isopropylbenzene, methylene chloride, n-propylbenzene, 1,2,4- trimethylbenzene and/or 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene reported in the ground water samples collected from MW-4, MW-13 and MW-14. None of the reported contaminant concentrations exceeded the Gross Contamination Levels. A copy of the laboratory report is included as Appendix A.
