Dear Ms. Braswell:
The UST Section is in receipt of the Ground Water Sampling Letter Report, dated November 17, 2022. After review
of the most recent groundwater concentrations at MW-2, you are requested to conduct a vertical soil profile event to
obtain smear zone mass data within the ground water GCL (gross contaminant level) plume. It is also requested that
you sample MW-2 & MW-16 for lab analysis using EPA 6200B with Ethanol & Alcohols. The data, along with a
suggested remedial strategy, should be submitted in the Monitoring Report format on or before May 15, 2023.
If you have any questions regarding trust fund eligibility or reimbursement from the Commercial Leaking Petroleum
Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund, please contact the UST Section Trust Fund Branch at (919) 707-8171. If
you have any questions regarding the actions that must be taken or the rules mentioned in this letter, please contact
me at the address or telephone number listed below.
Sincerely,
Kenneth E. Currie
