Millbrook Road, Suite 121 Raleigh, North Carolina 27604 Telephone 919-871-0999 Fax 737-207-8261 www.oneatlas.com December 8, 2022 Mr. James Brown North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Division of Waste Management, UST Section Fayetteville Regional Office 225 Green Street, Suite 714 Fayetteville, North Carolina 28301 Re: Groundwater Sampling Results Former Hardy Gulf 484 Carthage Street Cameron, Moore County, North Carolina NCDEQ UST Incident No. 13349 Risk Classification: I141D Dear Mr. Brown: On behalf of Cenama, LLC, ATC Associates of North Carolina, P.C. (ATC) has prepared this letter report to provide a summary of the groundwater sampling event performed at the referenced location. A site location map is provided as Figure 1 and a site map is provided as Figure 2. Groundwater Sampling On November 9, 2022, ATC collected a static water level measurement from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-3, TW-1, and TW-2. Light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL) was not measured in the wells on this date. The depths to water measurements were collected using an electronic oil/water interface probe. Groundwater elevation data are provided on Table 1. Due to limited groundwater elevation data, a groundwater flow map could not be generated. Historically, groundwater appears to flow in an easterly direction across the site. On November 9, 2022, groundwater samples were collected from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-3, TW-1, and TW-2, following standard sampling protocols. The groundwater samples were collected into laboratory-approved containers, packed in ice, and delivered under chain-of-custody to SGS North America in Scott, Louisiana, for analyses. The groundwater samples collected were analyzed by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 6200B. The laboratory analytical results of the groundwater samples detected dissolved benzene concentrations above its established Gross Contaminant Levels (GCLs) in monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-3. A ,r,ffi,December 8,2022 Page 2 of 2 dissolved 1,2-Dichloroethane concentration was detected above its established GCL in the groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-3 and TW-1. A summary of the groundwater analytical data is provided in Table 2. Dissolved contaminants of concern are provided on Figure 3. A copy of the laboratory analytical report is included as Attachment I. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact our office at(919) 871-0999.
