This is a courtesy notification letting you know that Duke Energy will be installing eight (8) replacement monitoring wells along the former Dry Ash Landfill Phase I (1804-INDUS) limit
of waste boundary. The wells purpose is for the federal CCR Rule monitoring program, which requires monitoring wells located along the CCR unit (Ash Basin) waste boundary. The wells
will be located in the area between the ash basin and the former landfill, located in the vicinity of the former well locations. Attached to this email are the proposed locations of
the new wells.
