Based on rule 15A NCAC 13B .0563 (6), within 5 years of the effective date, notified LCID landfills will need to be
properly closed or obtain a permit from the Division of Waste Management. The facility is in the process of obtaining
a Permit from the Section.

The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The access road is of all-weather construction and appears to be properly maintained.
2. The gate was locked at the time of this inspection.
3. The site has adequate signage posted adjacent to the gate and visible from the road.
4. Permanent edge of waste markers were observed during this inspection.
5. The waste stream observed appeared to be clean. No unacceptable wastes were observed within the waste stream.
Any identified unacceptable wastes are removed for proper disposal.
6. The working face was approaching the one -acre size limit. Ensure that the LCID is covered with six inches of
soil monthly or when the working face reaches one acre in size, whichever occurs first.
7. Some standing water was observed in equipment tracks on top of the LCID from recent rains. No large areas of
standing water were observed on top of the LCID. Continue to ensure that the LCID is graded to shed water
from the top of the LCID.
8. Grasses were beginning to grow along the side slopes.
9. An access roadway was present around the entire landfill.
10. A lean-to had been constructed for the attendant.
11. Digital pictures were taken during the inspection.
