The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 – This was an unannounced Facility Inspection. 02 – Facility has Fencing, Locking Gate and staff on-site during open hours. 03 – Facility has adequate signage. Emergency contact number and YWN-28-003 has been added to signage. 04 – Facility road is made of all-weather construction.
05 – This Facility is only use for storage. No processing is done on-site. 06 – Vegetative waste is brought in and put on the ground by Public Works and citizens, then loaded into roll off containers the same day by the Public Works staff. 07 – Containers are taken to one of two approved facilities in Dare County for processing, YWN-28-002 or 2803-CDLF_1995. 08 – No Waste was on-site during this inspection.
09 – Overall management of this facility looks really good. 10 – Plans are to add an off load ramp so all Yard Waste is loaded directly into the roll off containers. 11 – Digital pictures were taken during this inspection and some are attached to this report.
