The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 - This facility was issued a Life of Site permit on April7, 2021 and expires on December 23, 2057. 02 - The Permit to Operate and Operations Plan (approved 4/7/21) were not reviewed during this inspection. 03 - This was a Follow-up Comprehensive Facility Compliance Inspection. 04 - Facility needs to add the operator (Stella) on the Main Sign.
05 - The signage has all other required information.
06 - The Tipping Floor looked ok today. 07 - The leachate drain system of the tipping floor was not clogged and had been cleaned. 08 - This total leachate drain has been slated to be replaced with much larger pipes in the next budget (per M. Lee). Leachate containment tanks looked good. 09 - Exterior metal repair/replacement has been completed on this facility. 10 - Facility has replaced the exterior metal doors as well. 11 - Recycle area looked ok during this inspection. 12 - There were only 2 loaded trailers at the stored trailer area. Facility had 3 empty trailers. 13 - This facility has a contract with the City of Wilson for stormwater and leachate. 14 - Minor windblown trash was noted during this inspection that was conducted during working hours. BE SURE TO PICK UP DAILY WINDBLOWN TRASH BEHIND THE FENCING AS WELL. 15 - This facility is contracted to Stella Environmental Service for daily operations and hauling. 16 - John College, DMW and Michael Lee & Tyrone Sumler with GFL conducted this inspection. All items above were discussed. 17 - Digital pictures were taken during this inspection with some attached to the report.
