PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Comprehensive Facility Compliance Inspection. STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 4 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 – This site only receives concrete for crushing. 75% is ground and used annually. Facility owns crusher. 02 – Metal is removed from concrete and sold as scrap metal. 03 – Need to upgrade signage with facility number (N0066). 04 – Facility has locking cable. 05 – Site is kept in good condition. 06 – Site is not open to the public. 07 – Add Edge of Waste Markers to define (>2 acres) landfill area. This was recommended of facility on last inspection report. 08 – Facility road is constructed of all-weather materials (gravel). 09 – Attached to the email with this report is a copy of the permit or closure rules required by January 1, 2026. Please review due to if you want to permit this facility; You must have received a permit from the Division before January 1, 2026 in order to continue receiving waste at the landfill after that date. Therefore, a complete application must be submitted to the Division no later than January 1, 2025, to avoid a disruption of operations.
