The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 – This site only receives concrete for crushing. 75% is ground and used annually. Facility owns crusher. 02 – Metal is removed from concrete and sold as scrap metal. 03 – Need to upgrade signage with facility number (N0066). 04 – Facility has locking cable.
05 – Site is kept in good condition. 06 – Site is not open to the public. 07 – Add Edge of Waste Markers to define (>2 acres) landfill area. This was recommended of facility on last inspection report.
08 – Facility road is constructed of all-weather materials (gravel). 09 – Attached to the email with this report is a copy of the permit or closure rules required by January 1,
2026. Please review due to if you want to permit this facility; You must have received a permit from the Division before January 1, 2026 in order to continue receiving waste at the landfill after that date. Therefore, a complete application must be submitted to the Division no later than January 1, 2025, to avoid a disruption of operations.
