Close working face and remove equipment and personnel from working face during electrical storm.
Operator was able to move bulldozer away from working face and onto area of daily cover soil, which was saturated from morning rain event, so no MSW waste ever caught on fire.
Lightning struck bulldozer near the working face.
1.Fire suppression system in bulldozer went off and smothered most of fire. 2.Fire extinguishers from other pieces of equipment and water truck were used to extinguish the fire.
