The fire was reported via email to NCDEQ (Donna Wilson and Chuck Kirchner) by Misti Godwin
Actions taken include extinguishing the smoldering areas of the compost piles. Eventually the roof will be replaced. There is no structure damage.
Lightning strike.
The affected area includes three curing bays. No compost was lost due to the incident.

An act of God cannot be prevented.
