King St. and New Market Blvd. I arrived on-site approximately 10:15 and met with Mr. Jeff Britt with Robert High Development. Surveyors already on-site locating soil boring, soil gas, and temporary monitoring well locations. I discussed future property development with Mr. Britt while waiting on drilling company and Bunnell Lammons Engineering (BLE) representative to arrive. While on-site, I noticed an automotive oil filter had drained into a pool of water in a depression in the asphalt (Photo 3). We eventually learned the drillers and BLE had been delayed due to an equipment issue. I then left the property and performed another Site Inspection in the area. When I returned to the Pinnacle property, the drillers and BLE had not arrived yet, so I left to perform an additional site inspection. When I arrived back at the Pinnacle property at approximately 14:20 the drillers and BLE representative had arrived and had spread an absorbent material in the oily water noted previously (Photo 4). Once the Geoprobe was set-up at the first boring location (SG-4), it was advanced to an approximate depth of two feet. The Geoprobe liner was then retrieved and was screened with a PID (Photos 6 & 7). I remained on-site during the installation of three of the four soil-gas borings and did not observe any issues although I departed the site prior to their conversion into soil-gas sampling points, and the removal of the oil absorbent material.
