Yes. It is simply rinsate water with potential meat. The cleaning fluids would compromise our microbes, so we would
not take in anything that would do that.

Hello Misti — One of the things that I look for is a good understanding of what exactly the waste is. If the waste is a
rinsate from their process, would that mean that the waste consists of only water and meat or animal products? Or
would there be any other chemicals or products in the waste?
If it is only meat/food, animal products, and water, with very minimal cleaning fluids, then it would be acceptable for
composting. Please let me know.

Transforming Waste. Rebuilding Soils.
McGill Environmental Systems has reviewed the analytical data from Piedmont Custom Meats
(WQ0002857) and found the metals results to be below the ceiling concentrations listed in the 503 rules.
The metals concentrations are listed below. The full analytical report containing TCLP and reactivity is
attached.
The intake from Piedmont Custom Meats will be the rinsate water from their process. McGill is requesting
permission to accept these residuals at the McGill Merry Oaks Compost Facility for composting.
