Much of the cover crop does not appear to have been mowed in some time with some areas supporting small trees and other woody vegetation. *Please mow the landfill cover crop and the area around the toe of the landfill. Moving forward, a regular maintenance mowing schedule should be instituted and followed to ensure the cover crop is mowed throughout the year and properly maintained as required. 19) Areas of sparse cover and erosion were observed on the top lift of the closed western phase of the landfill. Some of this erosion has exposed disposed waste. *This area should be covered and graded at a slope not greater than 3:1 and then seeded and mulched to establish a groundcover suitable to prevent erosion of your landfill cap system. 20) *Corrective measures are required as a result of this Facility Compliance Inspection.
