ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. The Septage Detention and Treatment facility (SDTF) consists of one 6,000-gallon, two 8,000-gallon and one 10,000-gallon above steel tanks for storage of domestic septage (including portable toilet waste) and grease trap pumpings.
2. Set-back/buffer requirements appear to have been met. 3. Appropriate signage (No Trespassing signs) is posted for the site. 4. All weather roads are maintained for access to the site. 5. The tanks appeared to visually be structurally sound except for the 10,000-gallon tank, which had a hole. This tank was empty and appears to have not been used for several years. Additional fiberglass and steel tanks were also observed but have not been placed in service; a permit modification will also be required if these tanks are to be placed into service.
6. The area around the tanks had been maintained. 7. No odors observed around the tanks.
8. No one other than the permittee or an employee of Harris Septic Tank (HST, Inc) may discharge septage at this location unless the Solid Waste Section is notified and approval granted.
