parking/drive area west of apartment complex under construction. Based on site
discussions with environmental consultant (ECS), stockpiled soil will be utilized onsite
within landscape areas and sampled during final grade sampling.

Discussed VI risk of new apartment building with ECS and project developers. Three sub-
slab soil-gas samples and final grade sampling to be performed. Currently no risk to public
as apartment complex is currently under construction.
Walked entire Brownfields property including parcels not included in apartment building
development and Greenway. A “Gateway Pollinator Garden” in the process of being
completed along western portion of parcel (Photo 5). Ground surface appears to be
covered with thick layer of mulch imported from off-site. Does not currently appear to be
issues with potential soil contact although if plants need to be replaced in the future, it is
unknown if underlying soil had impacts or if clean fill was brought in to “cap” area.

Photo 1: 36-unit apartment building under construction.
As part of VI risk discussions, inspected HVAC installation designed to exchange an
appropriate volume of air from building exterior to meet LURU requirements, discussed
final grade and soil gas sampling requirements. ECS to provide DEQ with a revised EMP in
the near future.
Walked Brownfield property including parcels not included in the apartment building
development looking for potential issues and development. Significant issues were not
observed during site walk, although it is unknown if the Gateway Pollinator Garden
mentioned above could result in future contact with potentially impacted soil
