Desa, PE Hart & Hickman, PC 2923 South Tryon Street, Suite 100 Charlotte, North Carolina 28203 Subject: Vapor Mitigation Compliance Review- Space 170 HD Supply Brownfields Property Charlotte, Mecklenburg County Brownfields Project No. 19054-15-060 Dear Mr. Desa, The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Brownfields Program received and reviewed the VIMS Upfit and Effectiveness Testing Report, Space 170- Beem Light Sauna (Report) dated April 1, 2022. This Report was submitted for the South Tower at the HD Supply Brownfields Property. DEQ Brownfields understands this portion of the building to be in accordance with the DEQ Brownfields approved Vapor Mitigation Plan-Revision 2 dated June 18, 2018 (VIMP). DEQ Brownfields reviewed the analytical data and pressure monitoring data provided in the Report, and evaluated the analytical data using the DEQ Risk Calculator. The results of this evaluation were below the DEQ thresholds for non-residential use. Based on the available data, DEQ Brownfields has determined that the above referenced units are currently in compliance with Land Use Restriction 8 of the Notice of Brownfields Property. DEQ Brownfields understands ongoing monitoring and assessment shall be conducted in accordance with the VIMP. Please be advised that this compliance review from DEQ Brownfields does not waive any applicable requirement to obtain any necessary permits, licenses or certifications which may be required from other state or local entities.
