PHOTOGRAPHS Photo 1: Summa cannister within women’s restroom on lower level of Foothills Arts Council building. The purpose of the site inspection was to observe the completion of indoor air sampling within several building at the former True Textiles property. I met with Mr. Justin Hobart of GeoSyntec at the Foothills Arts Council building to collect the three Summa cannisters placed within the lower level of the building the prior day (Photos 1 and 2). Residual vacuums on the three regulators ranged from 7 to 7.5” Hg when the Summa cannisters were sealed and recovered. We then drove to the western buildings to check the status of the Summa cannisters also placed the previous day. Because these were placed in the early afternoon, the vacuums on these cannisters/regulators were still over 10” Hg (Photo 3) with approximately 2.5 hrs. until Justin planned on recovering them. We walked through the buildings to check on the status of the Summa cannisters, and none of them had been disturbed (Photos 4 and 5). A forklift was present within one building, but Justin stated that it had not been operated for a minimum of several days prior to sampling. The duplicate Summa cannisters were bordering on being below the breathing zone which I pointed out to Justin, and although they are sitting close to each other, they are not connected with a common air intake (Photo 6). I left the mill building at approximately 10:30 for Winston-Salem and took a photograph was taken of one of the sewer drains that was being filling with concrete during my prior visit on 11/29/21 (Photo 7). The intake height was approximately 3’ above grade (along with a couple of other locations) bordering on low end of breathing zone.
