Good morning Bill,
On November 8, 2012 at approximately 1630 hours, we discovered a smoldering fire in the trailer at the county
transfer station. There was only about 3 or 4 feet deep of trash, mostly a dust product from Jeld Wen Fibre
MFG. The transfer station employee was checking the area right before he left for the day and saw smoke
coming up. I called the fire department, and we sprayed water out of our holding tank until they got there. When
they arrived, we pulled the trailer out and opened the back door and they soaked it. This morning, the men
checked it and it was ok, so its back in service now.
It has been a long time since we had a fire, and I couldn't find a reporting form, so if you want it written up on a
form, please send me one.
