further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

RE: Extension of Time to Begin Closure Activities for the Madison County MSWLF,
Permit Number 58-03, Madison County
Dear Mr. Brown:
This letter is in response to Madison County's request to extend the time to begin closure
activities at the referenced facility. The request is to extend the period from 30 days to 120 days
after final receipt of waste. In accordance with Rule .1627(c)(5), the Solid Waste Section hereby
approves that request.
Please note that the solid waste management rules require that closure be completed
within 180 days following the beginning of closure activities.
