FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1) The “No Trespassing” signs were posted. 2) Access road to facility is in good shape. 3) This facility consists of ten (10) tanks for the storage of untreated and treated septage. The above ground steel tanks were accessible for inspection. 4) No evidence of any holes or signs of weakness that may allow the escape of septage from the above ground tanks. No leaks noticed. 5) It appears that the septage is transferred to and from the facility in such a manner to prevent spills of septage from occurring. No spills noticed today on the tanks or on the ground by the tanks. 6) No water or septage in the dump pit by the small building. 7) No odor or vector issues noticed. 8) Setbacks checked appear to be compliant. 9) Records not checked. 10) While it not required, we talked about labeling of the tanks. Labeling of the tanks helps to explain the flow of septage through the treatment process. Check the drawings and operation manual for how the tanks are labeled. Use the tank identification in the drawing and operation manual as to the label to place on the tanks. 0BPicture of Facility.
