PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Routine STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: No violations noted on the previous inspection.
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:

The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1) This facility consists of one above ground plastic tank with a capacity of 1,500 gallons for the storage of
domestic septage.
2) “No Trespassing” sign present at tank. This meets the requirement of Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0838(k).
3) Access road to tank in good shape and meets the requirement of Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0838(b).
4) Tank accessible for inspection. There was an area of at least 5 ft around the tank to allow for inspection.
This meets the requirement of Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0838(i).
5) The 1,500-gallon tank is made of plastic. No holes or cracks observed which may allow the escape of
septage out of the tank as per Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0838(c). No leaks noticed.
6) Septage appears to be transferred to and from the tank in a manner that prevents leaks or spills of
septage onto the tank or ground as per 15A NCAC 13B .0838(j).
7) No vector or odor issues noticed as covered within Rules 15A NCAC 13B .0838(e)(2) and .0838(g).
8) No change noticed that would affect setback distances.
