Subject: Transylvania County Landfill
Leachate Study
Dear Mr. Hooper:
Attached are copies of the laboratory analysis of water samples
taken below the Transylvania County Landfill. The results indicate
high contents of iron and manganese in the water. The fecal coliform
count was extremely low which indicates water free of sewage.
The growth samples which we collected are being analyzed at
Western Carolina University. As soon as we determine what the
growth is, we will notify you.
