Summary: a concrete slab has been poured for large warehouse building (photo 1) on the
western/central portion of the site. In addition, a second smaller slab has also been
poured on the western portion of property. Other than a temporary construction trailer,
no enclosed structures were present at the time of the Site Inspection.
Summary: Exposed soil was present at the Brownfield property consistent with site
redevelopment activities. Soil was observed on Woodlawn St. as reported, beginning at
the main construction exit departing the property (Photos 2 thru 4). A significant amount
of stone was recently added to the construction exit to minimize the amount of soil being
tracked onto the street (Photo 2). Silt fencing around the perimeter of the construction
areas appeared to be in good condition, with no sign of site run-off observed (Photos 6, 8
and 9).

Summary: Only chemicals observed during site inspection was a temporary diesel fuel
tank being used for operation of construction equipment. No sign of a release observed.
Condition:
Summary: N/A
Although construction related soil was visible on Woodlawn St., the portion of the
brownfields property where site contamination is present is covered with clean fill
varying in thickness from 2 to 28 feet. Therefore, soil tracked onto Woodlawn St. by
construction traffic would not be impacted by the contaminants of concern present at
the Brownfield property. As a result, no risk of public exposure was observed at the time
of the Site Inspection.

Photo 1: A portion of the concrete warehouse slab on the property facing east.
The Site Inspection was performed as a result of a citizen complaint regarding soil from
construction activities on the Brownfields property being tracked onto Woodlawn St.
During the Site Inspection, it was determined that the soil observed was a result of
construction traffic (no sign of soil run-off from the property was observed) and is
confined to the southeast direction of Woodlawn St. leaving the property.
As stated previously, the soil observed is clean cover from the site; however, the
developer has recently added to the rock pad at the construction exit to reduce soil
transfer from vehicle tires onto Woodlawn St.
