METHANE MONITORING RESULTS — NOVEMBER MONTHLY EVENT FOR 2021
WI HIGH POINT CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION LANDFILL AND RECLAMATION FACILITY, PERMIT
NO. 41-16
Dear Joe,
Attached are the results from the November 18, 2021, monthly methane monitoring at the above -referenced
facility for your files. As shown on the attached Landfill Gas Monitoring Data Form, methane was detected at
compliance monitoring point LFG-2A at a concentration above the lower explosive limit (LEL) during this monthly
methane monitoring event.
A Landfill Gas Remediation Plan (LFGRP) was submitted to the North Carolina Department of Environmental
Quality (NC DEQ) by Smith+Gardner on July 26, 2021 and was approved by the NC DEQ on August 2, 2001. As
proposed in the LFGRP, the installation of vent in the berm adjacent to LFG-2A and re -grading the area to
promote better drainage began on July 23, 2001. Golder installed two additional vents were in the vicinity of
LFG-2A on September 13, 2021. A Landfill Gas Remediation System Construction Record and Update Report
was submitted to the NC DEQ on November 4, 2021, which proposed additional investigation of the exceedances
at LFG-2A. The report was approved by the NC DEQ on November 8, 2021. If you have any questions or
concerns, please contact us at 336 852-4903.
